Two sons work for their father on the family's farm. The younger brother had for some years been given more responsibility and reward, and one day the older brother asks his father to explain why? The father says, "First, go to the Jon's Farm and see if they have any Geese for sale - we need to add to our stock." The Selangor Zakat Institute (LZS) is committed to providing continuous service by offering contributions to the needy of the people. Recently, LZS organized a Poverty Movement program to track the people who were eligible to receive zakat (Mustahiq) in four mosque's kariah (an area under the supervision and administration of a kadi), Jeram Mosque, Simpang Tiga Mosque, Tambak Jawa Mosque and Sungai Buloh Mosque (all in Selangor, Malaysia) recently.

Making Use of Our Youth

If we been given 60 years to live then it means we been given around 22,000 days (60x365) to live. All these days, which Allah gives us to prepare for one day of 'the interview' with Allah. That is on the Day of Judgement. On that day, Allah will ask us some questions and He wants some correct answers. Allah is so merciful that He already told us what the questions will be through the Quran and hadith. His mercy is so great that He even told us the answers to these questions.

Sponsor Orphan in The Name of Mother?

When you intend to sponsor a Muslim orphan, can you make the sponsorship to be registered in the name of your mother? Is this permissible? Will your mother be rewarded for it? The answer it is permissible to give Sadaqah (voluntary charity) on behalf of your mother by sponsoring an orphan and meeting their need. Your mother will be granted the great reward promised for sponsoring an orphan and you will be rewarded as well.
